Kirsten Marries Logan - A North Fork Wedding
As the end of the peak 2014 East End wedding season draws near, the fabulous weather continued even through the last Saturday in October on the Long Island's east end. Kirsten and Logan have met in college 10 years ago, have been dating for 6 years and now they are united in marriage. The ceremony took place on the front steps of the historic Brecknock Hall in Greenport. During the beautiful ceremony, Reverend Alison Caiola shared the couple's email about their love for each other and that they are marrying their best friend.
After they sealed their marriage with a kiss, it was time to enjoy the cocktail hour and a half. The guests taste buds were treated to the catering by Grace and Grit. They served an ample amount of appetizers from the traditional 'gotta have' pigs in a blanket and shrimp cocktails to tuna tartare.
The wedding reception took place on the grounds of Brecknock Hall, under a tent provided by the American Tent Company. The tent was illuminated by Matt Murphy Lighting Company with classic white bistro lights. About 90 minutes into the reception, DJ Michael of East End Entertainment, checked in with the bride and asked if she was having a good time. She happily replied, "Are you kidding me? I am having an amazing time!" The crowd literally danced four hours of the 4.5 hour reception to the variety of great tunes provided by the DJ pros of East End Entertainment and when they weren't dancing, they proudly sang and a swayed along to Elton John's Tiny Dancer and Billy Joel's Piano Man.
On Sunday morning, everyone returned to Brecknock Hall for a catered brunch by Grace and Grit catering. There were plenty of smiles, laughs shared from the joyous celebration the night before and certainly a lot sore feet from all that dancing!
